Please scroll down to read his backstory!! ;D Character Traits: -male -quiet -curious -as of recently, very lonely Backstory: Leaf was born in the forest with other creatures of his kind. He had a few brothers and sisters but he never really got to know them before the giant hurricane hit. It completely flooded his home, nearly destroyed the whole forest, and left countless baby deer stranded in random parts of the wild, separated from their families. Leaf was one of them. Leaf was knocked unconscious by a tree branch that had hit his head in the storm. He woke up the next day after the storm with no memory of his family, what kind of creature he was, or what anything he saw around him meant. He looked up and the first thing he saw was a house - a human house. He no longer remembered all of the warnings from his mother about how dangerous humans were and to stay away from them always. He went straight up to the window and started sniffing the glass. Two humans, an elderly man and his six-year-old granddaughter, lived there, and they were kind and gracious people. The elderly man took Leaf in, fed him, and washed him, while the litter girl couldn't get enough of stroking his green-leafed head and giant leaf tail. They took great care of Leaf as he grew up, and he was very happy with them. Eventually they became his new family, and he couldn't imagine what life would be like without them. Then one day, some mean-looking men came by the house during hunting season. They said that they had been seeing a young healthy deer roaming around somewhere in this area and they wanted to hunt him for the magical green leaves that grew from his head and tail. At that moment, the old man knew that it was not safe here for Leaf anymore. Though the little girl, who was now eight, cried and cried and begged him not to, the old man took Leaf into the nearby forest to where he knew a group of deer like Leaf lived. The old man said goodbye to leaf, turned, and left. Leaf didn't fully understand what was going on until it was too late, and the man was gone. Almost immediately, Leaf found his original deer family. They were so excited to see him, but he did not know them, and even when they explained that they were his family, it was hard to believe them because the only family he’d ever really known were the old man and his sweet loving granddaughter - and he couldn’t believe that he was never going to see them again. Nowadays, his brothers and sisters are constantly trying to get him to play with them, his siblings’ friends are always wanting to be his friends, his aunts and uncles are always wanting to talk about how much he has grown, and his mother really just wants to talk to him - but all Leaf wants to do is sit by himself quietly in a place away from the other deer, thinking about his human family - and how much he misses them.
