If you don't follow the tutorial at the beginning, you may end up in a situation where it's impossible to get money - in which case restart and actually follow the instructions. Important! When you save, in order to not make your save code insanely long, it deletes all of you building and upgrading progress. But you get completely refunded for every coin spent on those things and also keep any inhabitants you had - it auto-buys houses and locates them for you when you load your save. Edit 1.1: You now get offline bonuses. However, after three hours, you'll just start getting what you would get in three hours.
