Ok, so this is seriously the most complicated and longest term project I've ever made. Please leave a like and a fave, and absolutely recommend to others! Thx to my Advanced Tech teacher for giving me a class where I could do this incredible project. Down to business. Also credit to @feathery_splosion Who helped A LOT by creating a word processor, which I then used the code to make a way of doing "homework". At the beginning of the game you will be asked to select a character, who you can customize to your liking. You will attend Foxfire and manifest whichever ability you choose. By completing quests, you can decide to manifest another ability, but this is only done if you have accomplished something truly spectacular. Below is my list of updates. When I'm done, you'll have the rules and tips in the Notes and Credits section. Have fun in the Lost Cities! 8/23/19 - Got started. Added a new character sprite and designed opening page. 9/5/19 - Kept working on redesigning girl elf. Started letting players personalize the game. 9/6/19 - Designed Foxfire and coded Mom...added a few other things and fixed a glitch that keeps you from playing the game. 9/10/19 - Coded ability to go home during school (and get sent back!) As well as a prattle pin collector in the options! Credit to TallShadowClan for the pin sprites - you should totally check out her Prattles Pin Collector - one of the favorites on my profile. 9/12/19 - Worked on prattle pins some more. Made it so you can get more than one per day. 9/16/19 - For three whole days, I've been working on a save code so you can save your game! However, it's full of bugs. I am trying to fix that, so I'll notify you when it is completely bug-free. 9/17/19 - Coded ability to be a Froster and fixed some bugs. 9/20/19 - Fixed a bug with the cover, added music as well as fixing some stuff that makes the extra options confusing. Added the option to turn off the music if you want. 9/22/19 - Wasn't able to turn music off, so I looked for other options. Now it turns off when you press space bar. 10/29/19 - Save file wasn't working, so I got rid of it and now I'm creating my own save code. 1/13/20 - UGH!!! Save code is failing miserably, so I've given up on it. Oh well. There are more interesting things to work on anyway. Added a bunch of new stuff, like new ability-detecting classes.
Rules, tips, and guidelines: This game can be saved, but there are some bugs in the code. I'm working to fix that. When you press "Start Now!", you will design your character. The default is a blonde girl(elf) with brown eyes, wearing a red dress and silver stockings, so if you are a boy, don't neglect designing a character! I'm sorry, but your character, when you click it to change its appearance, the skin and hair change too. I know this isn't attractive, but bear with me. Once finished, you will go to your bedroom in a place called Evensong. Mom will ask who you are. Answer yes or no please.
