He may be quiet, even sensitive when you first meet him, but in reality, he's a canine who can be strong-willed, brave, and never backs down, unlike his past-self. Likes : Hawk obviously loves birds, especially blue jays. He also likes to sunbathe, watch the clouds go by, and take a stroll in forests to watch birds. Hawk studies about aviation frequently, and he would want to learn more so he could find ways to invent something. He'd finally have a chance to fly like his winged pals. Dislikes : His parents,, oop Extra : He's not afraid of heights at all, and he'd definitely risk himself by climbing up the tallest of trees to investigate birds so he can figure out ways to fly himself. He's t h a t commited. Angsty backstory and good ending below hehe ---- [ About a decade ago ] Hawk anxiously paced around, looking at the dull yellow-green grass below his small paws. His mind was completely blank. He couldn't think at all. It was like a big white screen or a void filled with nothing but darkness. All he did, though, was go around in circles as his tail twitched out of nervousness. C r e a k. The old, wooden back door opened all of a sudden, and over there was a tall figure. Hawk's dad. Hawk stiffened and froze before he slowly turned to face his father. "D-Dad...?" He choked out, voice cracking. His dad sighed and shook his head. "I already talked to your mother about this... And we're not happy about the situation." "...Why can't you and mom just accept me!?" Hawk blurted out, subconsciously stomping his paw on the ground before he gasped, realizing what he had said and backed away from him. "Marianne, listen to me. You're not a boy." His father spoke in a slightly aggressive tone, looking at her disapprovingly. "You are a girl, there was no 'mistake' made, ever. You're just confused, is all." "I'm not... I'm not Marianne..." Hawk protested as tears rolled down his grey cheeks. "A-And I'm not confused! This is me, dad! My true name is Jett!" "What has gotten into your head!?" His dad snarled before he calmed down. "Marianne... Where's your bird and airplane collection? Is it in your room?" Hawk gave him a worried look. "Yeah...?" He nodded at him, walking inside and going up the squeaky stairs as Hawk followed. "Dad, wait!" He called out, running up the stairs but tripped along the way, making him groan. "I can go in your room at any time, I'm your dad." He murmured as he entered the room quietly, sighing softly and shaking his head as he saw handmade posters and flags with different colors. A rainbow one, a blue, pink, and white striped one, and much more. Hawk took a shaky breath, trying to calm down but panicked as his father walked up to the posters. "D-Dad...!?" S c r a a a t c h. R i i i p. "Dad, no, stop!" Hawk cried out, seeing his posters and flags being torn to shreds. "Dad, please!" He immediately fell down to the ground, sobbing as he noticed pieces of paper and fabric on the carpet. He buried his face in his paws, before he felt a cold touch on his shoulder, making him flinch and look up. This time, it was his mother. She gave him a look he'd never seen from her. It was an odd, concerned, and disappointed sort of glance. Hawk's mom walked up to his desk, where small boxes filled with toy birds and little airplane models were at. She picked the boxes up, carrying them with one arm as she opened the window with her other. Hawk quickly realized what she was going to do, gasping quietly. "No, mom, don't! Emmet gave those to me!" But it was too late. The boxes were thrown out of the window, dropping to the ground with shattering sounds. Hawk made a yelp of surprise and fear as he backed away, running to the first floor and out the back door before he noticed broken pieces across the short grass. His collection. Damaged. Lost. Forever irreplaceable. They meant so much to him, and now they're just trash. vv
^^ [ Current time ] Hawk was at his tiny workplace, fixing up a damaged wing he broke earlier this afternoon. You see, he attempted to fly. But wasn't his first time. However, these attempts lead Hawk to several bruises, cuts, and even broken bones. It's not stopping him from his dream to soar up in the big blue sky, though. Today, he got a few minor injuries, like a cut on his snout and some rashes on his one of his sides and shoulder. Still, he's determined to fly. Hawk wiped off some sweat on his forehead, sticking his tongue out in concentration as he continued to repair and tweak the wing. 'Someday, I'll be able to fly.' He thought with a soft sigh. 'Don't know when, but I know I will." -- "My name is Hawk. Well, it's actually Jett Hawkins, that's just my nickname... Anyway, my dream is to fly. I've had difficulties in my past, but that isn't stopping me from my goal to soar high up in the sky. Believe it or not, but... My challenges encouraged me to work harder, and I've gotten so far on my dream already. I'm not stopping myself now, and no one can ever stop me." ---- 8 / 23 / 2019 Art : Moi,, it was all done on my phone hE ck OC / Design : @BEPthecat Song : 100 Bad Days by AJR
