Species: Crowned/King owl (made it up) King owls are generally a dark reddish brown with with a lighter face, under feathers, and tail feathers. It is very rare, but sometimes they have darker markings on their face (like this one) King owls have two different layers of feathers on their wings. The outer layer is thick and fluffy to keep them warm in the cold climates that they live in. The under layer is sleek, thin, and stiff for easy gliding.
