• I made one pendulum here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/327152061/ • Now here are two pendulums, one on the end of another, and there's a pen on the end of the second one. • Press the green flag. Once you see how it works, try changing the two sliders and press the green flag again to make a different pattern. It's interesting: some combinations of slider numbers make a simple pattern (with only a few loops), some make more complicated ones... For example, rather than 5 and 4, try 5 and 3.74.
• I wanted to make this, because I saw this real world experiment, with a leaky bag of sand (?) hanging from the ceiling: https://i.imgur.com/wK1B0eV.gifv • This Scratch project isn't quite the same as that (there, there's only one pendulum, but it has two angles of movement rather than one, and the pendulums move less over time), but perhaps we could work on that?
