#blackout #StopCISPA report by me below CISPA ***will*** let the government turn sites like Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, even your EMAIL, into a “spy”. It will give ALL of your personal information to the gov without a warrant. It even works for some outside of the US. If you don’t live in the US, and this law is passed, your information will be given to the U.S.A Government anyway. If sites like Facebook don’t work on Monday, then it’s in protest against CISPA. The protest is basically acting as if CISPA was passed, and so censoring the whole website. You can’t go anywhere online, you can’t talk to your friends, etc., etc. Millions of users of these sites are going offline April 22nd in protest as well, turning the internet away for 24 hours straight. It was also caught on camera that Representative Mike Rodgers (sponsor of CISPA and main backer, according to the press) called the people who are against CISPA “fourteen-year-olds in their basement”. As well as participating in this protest that will happen on monday (April 22nd, 2013), users who saw the camera footage on YouTube are telling Rep. Rodgers on Twitter their age (which is older than 14, mind you.) You can sign the petition against CISPA on the site http://www.cispaisback.org/ . Aside from giving all of your personal data, the act also violates the fourth amendment in other ways: “It makes it so companies can’t be sued when they do illegal things with your data. It allows corporations to cyber-attack each other and individuals outside of the law. It makes every privacy policy on the web a moot point, and violates the 4th amendment.” - cispaisback.org
