This is a project dedicated to the Moon Festival, or the Mid Autumn Festival. It originated in China, and we celebrate it every year by gathering with your family, and eating moon cakes. 1. This takes place in daytime, it's my OC Lightfeather playing in the leaves (since it's autumn after all). I attempted to shade and blend, but as you can see, it turned out really bad 2. Lightfeather and my DTA character Moon sharing moon cakes 3. A pic of Moon flying up to the moon XD 4. Still Moon, since it's the Moon Festival XD 5. No more Moon, it's Chang'e, a character in Chinese mythology related to the Moon Festival. Chang'e's story: There once were 10 suns, and the world was baking hot. Then, a great warrior named Hou'yi came along and shot down 9 suns, leaving one for daylight. The gods rewarded him for his deed by giving him 2 pills that could make you immortal and float away together with another person. Hou'yi was glad, and shared it with his beautiful wife named Chang'e, saving it for when they grow old. But one day, a robber heard of this pill and wanted to take it. Hou'yi wasn't home at that moment, and Chang'e couldn't fend off the robber. Chang'e did not want the robber to take the pills, so she swallowed them. The pills made her immortal and she floated up to the moon alone. When Hou'yi returned, he saw what had happened and was very sad. So every year at this time, he would share food under the moon for Chang'e, and eat moon cakes in her honor. Chang'e is often represented beside a rabbit (Yu'tu), because he was the only thing to keep her company on the moon.
