I counted my footsteps as I ran. One. Two. Three. I didn’t let my eyes wander from my path, being of the upmost importance I focus on what was ahead. Four. Five. Six. Seven. I was nearly there, I could see it ahead of me, nearing as I pushed myself faster. Eight. Nine. Ten... I felt my feet leave the ground and suddenly I was flying through the air for a moment in time before hitting the hard surface of the nearly invisible ledge below me. The rough landing didn’t phase me for a moment as I hit the ground, tumbling forward and back onto my feet again, making a sharp pivot in place to stare at the ledge I had been on a moment before. I felt my heart thud rapidly in my chest, adrenaline pulsing through my veins as I waited, waited for any sign of my pursuer. Nothing. Besides the rustle of the forest above me, there was nothing. /This has to be wrong,/ I thought to myself. /Something was there... I know something was there.../ I watched for a moment longer in confusion before shaking my head and beginning to climb up the cliff above me. For now, I guess there really was nothing and it was all in my head... Maybe... There really was no telling anymore... People say I am paranoid, but there really is something after me, I know there is... Even if nobody else will believe it. I love my paranoid bean Tyson
