RULES - Please read them before entering! ✧ If you don't know, DTA stands for Draw To Adopt. It's a drawing competition. You enter by drawing the character that you want, and when I close this, I judge the entries for each character. If I like your entry the most, you get to keep the character and do whatever you want with it! It now belongs to you ^^ ✧ You can enter for as many characters as you want, but you can only win one. (Unless you happen to have absolutely incredible art, backstory and effort and truly deserve to win 2. Maybe it will depend on if I add more?) ✧ You can change the designs a bit but they should be recognisable. I'd prefer it if you added on to them rather than simplify but you do you ✧ Due date is to be decided; let's just say you have quite a bit of time as of now. It really depends on how popular this DTA gets. I may have lots of followers, but I'm not popular. (That may not make sense, but that doesn't matter at the moment. If you're curious, ask!) ✧ I don't even think I need to say this, but just in case... please don't bully others or steal art. Tracing or copying someone else's style counts as stealing, even if you give credit because this is a DTA, after all. ✧ You can change species, I don't mind if it's a dog, cat, wolf, fox... whatever, but I'd prefer if it was one of those. You can make a human version just as long as you also draw the character as an animal. ✧ VERY IMPORTANT! How I judge If you don't like the way I judge, you don't have to enter lol. Anyway let's get onto it... ✧ Effort over skill ✧ Quality over quantity... but it depends. For example, if someone had really advanced art and drew just one pic, but another person drew multiple but was at a really beginner level, the talented artist would win, however... if there was someone who had godly art and had little-no bio/backstory, and someone else who had put a lot of time and effort into the backstory as well as drawing multiple pics and having art reasonable enough (yikes that sounds harsh. Let's just say not as good but still good), then the second person would win. I'm looking for people who really want the character the most, and I can tell by how much effort you put in your entry. So if you do have godly art, don't expect to win JUST because of that and put no effort into stories. With that said, also keep in mind that if you have both godly art AND godly EFFORT, then you have a HUGE advantage. I'm not asking for everyone to say how long your entry took, because some people could lie (you can say if you want but it's not a rule) I'll be able to tell if you put effort in from your entry ^^ ✧ Animation and animation memes are allowed, and they may or may not increase your chances depending on your art skill. ✧ Backstory is NOT COMPULSORY for your entry (that means you don't have to do it) however it will increase your chances a LOT so please don't be disappointed if I don't pick you because you don't think of one ✧ Have fun! Don't feel stressed by what I've said. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away! Yikes, reading over all that I feel mean... oh nooo... I mean I... I... anyway. I hope that doesn't put people off or anything oof.
I didn't make my canvas big enough and didn't draw some of the paw and tail so it looks uncentered...oh well Music- Name-Constellation Species-Cat Gender-Female Design-Amethyst Crystal Galaxy Personality-Short tempered, vengeful, and untrusting, but also upbeat and friendly when you get to know her Likes-Jewels, purple, stars, nighttime Dislikes-Other stray cats, humans, thick forests Backstory- Before her name became Constellation, she was known as Aurora to all the other stray cats, a cream colored kit. She had heard legends of the five mythical gems, and the cats that would save the world from some unknown trouble, from her mother, before the humans had stolen her forever. The ruby, who gave the owner power and riches, but devoured their sanity until it controlled them. The emerald, which made grasses grow and trees stand. The diamond, which wrapped the user in a cold, icy shield, protecting them from danger. The sapphire, controlling the seas. And last of all, the amethyst. Aurora always dreamed of the amethyst, her favorite stone. A pretty purple color, just like her eyes. It gave the user power over air, and could make them look like anything they wanted. The other strays had mocked her and taunted her. "The stones aren't real! You're mommy believed in them and now she's gone!" The other cats leapt at her, growling. Driven away, Aurora wandered into grassy fields, big cities, dense forests. When she reached a cave, she collapsed, exhaustion bringing her down. This is the end, she thought softly. She opened her eyes again, but she was no longer in the cave. "You have suffered greatly because of your beliefs," a voice spoke quietly. "We are here to reward you." "What?" The cat who spoke shimmered with moonlight. "The amethyst is yours, with your new name. Constellation." Constellation woke up with a start. A purple jewel was trapped under her paw, with glowed of starlight. She closed her jaw around the jewel and sprinted towards her old home. I will defend what is mine, she thought, swishing her tail. Then I will find what this prophecy is about.
