I’m not particularly fond of Ametrine’s design, so I might redo it later. Also, the details I left out... Tourmaline’s story... Those are your’s to guess! ;3
-Ametrine- (Personality) Ametrine is kind and imaginative, but can quickly become serious if she needs to. She used to be careless and mischievous, but she grew a lot in maturity after taking Tourmaline under her wing. She is always trying to keep her entertained, making up bad jokes and coming up with games. She is very sympathetic and can’t bear to even poke another Vix in fear of hurting them. She also gets quite jumpy when she’s alone, which is why she enjoys spending time with Tourmaline or going to the lands above with another Vix to accompany her. (Backstory) Ever since she was born, she was intrigued with the world above her. One day, she came up with an idea of what she thought it looked like. She named it “Ethereal Falls,” a world of diversity and light, with colors beyond imagination. It had stones and crystals floating high in the air, with water pouring from them to form shining lakes below. She loved the idea, and was extremely excited when she heard that they had found a way into “Ethereal Falls.” She quickly decided she wanted to be an Uplander, to explore the world she had dreamed of for so long. When she was finally sent on a mission, she was disappointed to find “Ethereal Falls” nothing what she had imagined. Though still a lot more exciting than the caves below, it wasn’t nearly as close in beauty to the true Ethereal Falls. She eventually grew fond of the world above, and forgot “Ethereal Falls.” That is, until one day, when she stumbled upon a small pond. But there was something different about it... it emitted a loud roaring noise, a noise that reminded her of the time the elders spoke of; the time when Aquigon flooded the Caverns, but... stronger. She decided to ignore it, and bent down her head to drink from the pond. But the moment she leaned towards the water, she felt something pummeling her head. She quickly pulled her head back, then realized it was water!! She had found the real world’s own version of her Ethereal Falls; a giant, glistening waterfall falling from somewhere high in the air. After finding what she called “True Ethereal Falls,” or just “True Ethereal,” she visited it as often as she could (which wasn’t too often). She never stayed there long, though, after they discovered there was more Vixes in the world above. One day, she found a strange, young Vix wandering in the caves. She claimed to be lost, and said her name was Tourmaline. She said she was searching, though she never specified what she was searching for. Ametrine took pity on her and said she would take her in until she found what she was looking for. After that, the young Vix seemed to forget all about it, acting as though nothing had happened and growing extremely close to Ametrine. And though Tourmaline never mentioned it again, Ametrine still remembers. One strange day, Tourmaline woke up, seeming distracted and dizzy. When Ametrine asked what was wrong, she asked “What is it? The Falls?” And fell unconscious. She later said she remembered nothing of it, though by now, Ametrine is determined to find out what’s happening- for both her own sake, and Tourmaline’s. (Extra) -Tourmaline is her adopted daughter/sister. -She may be the Vix most connected to the surface; she visits it at every chance she can. -She loves telling Tourmaline stories about her travels to the Upper World, though she never told her about True Ethereal Falls, or Ethereal Falls in general. -She believes there’s something magical about Ethereal Falls, and something magical about Tourmaline. -She believes Tourmaline has some sort of connection to Ethereal Falls. -Tourmaline- (Personality) Tourmaline is optimistic, energetic, and unpredictable, and can get herself into a lot of trouble through her curiosity. She is usually very confusing, and some Vixes joke that “She speaks in the Tourmalinian Language,” since she hardly ever makes sense. She wants to be friends with anything and everything, and is extremely hard to manage. Poor Ametrine. But she also tends to panic when left alone, so Ametrine has to get another Vix to “Babysit” her while she’s away. (Backstory) Tourmaline’s Backstory is shrouded in mystery. She claims that she knows nothing of it, and it makes her feel uncomfortable when the subject is brought up. She claims that the only thing she remembers is darkness, and being lost. Then she found Ametrine, and she felt like she was in the right place. She apparently doesn’t remember anything else... But who knows..? (Extra) -She is the adopted Daughter/sister of Ametrine. -She won’t say anything else.
