I've been doodling stuff about a Yume Nikki fangame in my art style, and i'm far better with pen and paper than a computer.
A man goes to sleep. He's been having weird dreams as long as he can remember, each different than the last. Having a simple mind at a younger age, he dreams of a simple, grey cave. A friend at the office of the man meant to give him a goodbye gift, as the friend had to move. Fortunately, the friend forgot the gift at his old cubicle. Walking past to clock out, the man, named Akiko, finds said gift, and takes it home, seeing it is addressed to him. The gift is a journal, that Akiko's friend got so "You can write down those odd dreams." When he goes to sleep, he finds himself standing on his balcony, and upon exiting his apartment, he finds himself in a strange place containing 8 other doors than the one he left. Entering the first one he sees, he finds the same grey cave from when he was so little. Through these doors, he will travel deeper into himself, find memories, gain abilities, and grow. And then, he will be met with a final decision.
