Name: Meri (Finnish for sea) Gender: Female Species: cat/orca mix Personality: Kind, loyal, never leaves someone behind, worries too much, anxious, kind, talks to self BACKSTORY: One day Meri, a cat then, was out by the sea with her family. They (humans) wanted to go deep sea fishing, but the young child refused to leave the cat alone at the beach. They then decided to bring her with them. As they went farther out into the sea, the wind and waves started picking up. The boat was rocking heavily, the rain started to pour, and the family was helpless. The boat started to sink, so they started throwing things off to make it more lightweight. They still continued to sink, and just need to lose a bit more weight to stay afloat. The only thing left on the boat besides themselves was Meri. The child begged to save the cat, but the adults yanked her from her arms and threw her overboard. Meri splashed into the sea, flailing her arms as an attempt to stay afloat. She could her the child screaming and crying as the boat floated farther and farther away. Meri gave up and let herself sink. She was then found by a group of magical orcas who used their magic to save her, but she had to become half orca. She was saved, and now lives in the ocean.
