She could hear the gargoyles inside, playing a game of cards. Suddenly she took to the air, and dived into the den, landing silent as an owl a few feet in front of the room they were in. She picked up a small rock and threw it in. "Yow!", one of them called, surprised. The manticore turned her ears to the door and smirked. She could hear them scuffling towards the door, so she got ready to 'greet' them. They opened the door, and she lurched forward and hiss-yowled at them. A few of them either jumped back, screamed, or exclaimed hurried cries of "Don't eat me!" "Wow, guys, just wow.", Espectra exclaimed, "You know I'm vegetarian right?" The gargoyles murmured to each other after they heard the Manticore speak. "We believe you", one of them said in a gruff, low-key voice, "But why did you jump out of the shadows like that at us?" "It's my hobby to scare unknowing creatures," She cackled, "Y'all should know that by now." ((178 words 977 characters))
