Big thanks to @kozuhi for numerous bug fixes, adding torpedoes and a deck gun, and much more! ________________INSTRUCTIONS_______________ I recommend reading the notes at the bottom of the controls TO START MOVING: - Turn on Diesel Engines - Throttle Up TO DIVE - Make sure ballast and air tanks are filled - Make sure battery is fully charged - Switch to electric engines - Close hatches - Make sure you are moving forward - Press e to dive, press r to level out - Set periscopes TO SURFACE - Make sure you are moving - Blow the ballast tanks - Press d to go up - If you go up much past the water line (the transition between light and dark hull) you won't be able to dive again and the game may crash ___________________HISTORY__________________ The model of unterseeboot in this project, the Type VII U-boat, was designed based on earlier German submarine designs from World War One, combined with influences from Finnish and Spanish submarines. The type VII was the most widely used U-boat of World War Two and also the most produced submarine class in history (703 built). Despite this, there is only one that is still intact,U-995 on display at the Laboe Naval Memorial in Germany. U-boats served the Kriegsmarine during the Battle of the Atlantic, sinking merchant convoys carrying supplies between Europe and the U.S. However, improving radar and understanding of German code meant that U-Boats were all but eliminated by the end of the war. ________________PATCH NOTES________________ v.1.1 (Sept. 9, 2020) - Day 1 patch: fixed battery gauge needle v.1.0 (Sept. 9, 2020) - Game released If you have read this far, you deserve a reward.
