This is based on the game Mastermind, but the rules are slightly different. If you don't know Mastermind you should probably look it up before playing this. Instead of colours, you need to guess a combination of letters in this version of the game. At first this seems harder since there are more letters in the alphabet than colours in Mastermind, but the rule is that the letter combination must make a four letter word. The computer will think of a four letter word (taken from a pool of the most common words so you should probably know it!). You then need to make guesses what the word is (only guess real words, otherwise it'll only get harder). After each guess, the computer will give you clues, by putting symbols after it. An 'x' means that none of the letters in your guess are anywhere in the computer's word. Each completely black circle stands for a letter that is in the computer's word and at the same position (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th) in the computer's word as in your guess. Each circle that is white on the inside stands for a letter that is in the computer's word but not at the same position as in your guess. Next time you guess, you should only guess words that are still possible after the clues you have already received. This means you will need less guesses to get to the right word!
