Clue! Chapter 1

Instructions

(Hey guys. I’ve been having trouble typing inside the project, so now, I’m going to be typing in here) Chapter 1: Ms. Ruxford rang the doorbell. She had long red hair and pale green eyes. She wore a long brown trench coat over a teal blue dress and black boots. Her hair was in an eccentric bun, and a pair of thin rimmed rose-gold glasses were perched on her nose. She carried a small grey clutch that held notes and formulas for her company. She always kept them with her, for she feared they would be stolen. Ms. Ruxford rolled her eyes, checking her watch, a Rolex. She looked around the porch, and began walking over to a window to check if anyone was home, before the door opened. Ms. Ruxford slipped back to her place in front of the door before the door was fully opened. A man in a crisp tuxedo opened the door. “Ah, welcome! Do come in Ms. Ruxford.” The butler said, immediately. She rolled her eyes. “Call me Ruby, please.” She said, as she walked inside. “The other guests should be here soon. Until they arrive, I ask that you wait in the library. Feel free to move around inside there, and if you need anything, ring the bell.” The butler walked Ruby to the library, and left without another word. Ruby sat down, and began reading some books about chemistry. Meanwhile outside, there was a traffic jam of limousines and private cars. The car in front was having a mechanical issue. The passenge sighed. “I’ll walk from here, you try to figure out how to get this car out of the street.” She told the driver, getting out of the car. Even in the muggy rainy weather, her lavender hair was unmistakable. “As you wish, Ms. Pogue.” The driver replied. Astor began walking up the hill. Someone else must have seen her exit the car, because another passenger got out, deciding to walk as well. “Wait for me!” They said, hurrying to catch up to Astor, in hopes of getting some shelter from the rain. Astor turned around, hearing them. “Hello. We’re you also invited to this dinner?” She Asked. They nodded. “I was.” Astor nodded. “Well , that’s swell. I’m sorry about the car I was riding in. It’ll surely cause a lot of trouble.” She told them. “Oh! It’s no trouble, so long as I don’t get soaked. This outfit is rather difficult to procure.” They said. Astor nodded again. “Then would you like my umbrella? This jacket is rather waterproof. I wouldn’t mind at all.” She Asked. They shook their head. “It’ll be alright.” They said with a smile. Suddenly, Astor’s eyes lit up with recognition. “Wait a second! You’re Tamryn Blanks! The fashion designer!” She said, with a hint of awe. Tamryn smiled. “I am. And now that I think about it, you’re Astor Pogue, aren’t you?” They asked her. Astor nodded. “I am.” The two smiled, and laughed at their moment of being awe-struck, though they were both pretty famous. The two reached the door, and walked into the library, introducing themselves to Ruby.
