Snow Pup bounced up and looked around and saw the pond she had fallen into when she was only a pup, making her fear water, even if it is so shallow, even the mice’s babies could swim in it. Porcupines were jumping in and losing their quills, making her laugh. There are many species of wildlife she has encountered over the years; moles, rats, mice, rabbits,( also a strange snowy owl) and many more. One time she looked at a hole,( luckily it wasn't a snake's hole), so she looked closer,( by that she means sticking her eyes down the hole) then a groundhog jumped up and chittered, leaving her with a scar on her muzzle. She looked at the mountains that her mother had told stories of monsters with fangs, claws and pure white fur. A white claw. Unable to die, it pounces on you at an edge and pushes you off the height and then takes you to feed its young.it has no feelings. Only hunger. .She shudders, knowing she'll never go there, but maybe her father would. She had always wondered why she had white fur(since her mother was brown) then she assumed that her father was not a white claw, but a grey wolf Her mother had told her that her father had fought seven white claws at once and got away unscathed. That story always amazed her,she tried to imagine just fighting one. She doesn't think about it and runs faster to the tree again, noticing it without a weird bat flying around it. The sign now recognizable(since it was hanging lower than usual.) This time she read faster, hoping that judgement(every time she heard that name she felt like she was being scolded) wouldn't hear her saying it. “ Judgment the bat is busy judging his brother who has stolen his jelly!” This again huh? She has seen many others with the same phrase but with different food. But she's never heard about them before. And before she thought he was making stuff up. Cake?? Ice Cream??? corn dog???? Candy????? ( see, what did I tell you?) Snow Pup tilted her head at the weird sign or well signs.(since there are so many of them) She looked at it a little more than left. She looked for her other friend, Fruit. Fruit is a bat that hopefully wasn't related to whoever that was... Judgment? What a weird name. And he is scared of his own shadow, which is not that brave, she thought. She found fruit in the forest and he just followed her home. She saw fruit and yelled “Fruit! What’s going on?” she asked Fruit is a light brown bat, him being almost completely made of fear of tomatoes. He always said it was:”demon fruit” or :”demons apple”. Both him and judgment were afraid of something. Him” the demon’s apple” or judgement... germs. “Not much,” he replied ”mostly storing the food we've had over the years for winter even though its spring, it will be safe from…… squirrels ” he squinted his eyes; she rolled hers. “He's been acting so weird lately”, she thought. And the “we've”? Does she not know of a friend of fruits who had been here for a long time? No no, maybe it's a squirrel and he's as crazy as she's smart,(she's not really had to think) She shook her head and kinda laughed it off as a bird came down. Ever since the sparrow, she's been trying to catch another. Her mother said that once she can catch a piece of prey intentionally, she will become Snow. She playfully growled and said, ”I will catch you this time” she got in her stance tensed then...Tripped, sliding her face deep in the snow ”Muumuu” she grunted as she stood up tall and proud, trying to regain the honor she just lost. She sighed and watched as some birds flew next to it cooing. “Sounds like mockery.” her ambition roared loudly at her to say ...but she held the urge and moved on with her life, which was substantially worse than being bored because there was nothing you could do. So she played in her bed and dozed off for the first time in a while from the morning.
