Hey y'all! First off, thanks so much for 300+ followers! It was just a month and a half ago that I celebrated 200, so it's a little crazy that I'm here already. I never thought you internet strangers would like my mindless scribbling so much, haha :) I've never hosted a CC before, and I felt like this would be a pretty good time to do it. Green is such a pretty song and I really wanted to do something nice for it. Anyways, there are some rules and tips I'll lay out here so this whole thing goes smoothly. No worries about a codeword or telling me you're entering, all you have to do is remix with your entry. --Rules-- (the part where i accidentally yell at you) - Please remix this project, so it's easier for me to find your entry - Credit people wherever it's due (ie. @charlies-hoodie for the lineart, cavetown for the song, whoever for the characters) - No putting down others entries, or even your own. This is a nice little positive CC kiddos - Don't change the song, the lineart and theme of this CC is meant to go together - Feel free to change the lineart a bit (like adding eyelashes or collars or floppy ears or something), as long as it's recognizable and keeps with the theme - I think that's it, please tell me if i'm forgetting anything aa --Tips-- (the part where i try to help you) - Shade/Go absolutely crazy with lighting I love that - Animate (like a blink or ear flick or something) - Add a pretty background - Use a different program - Use your own OCs (but warrior cats and fandom stuff are all a-okay too) Here's a pretty big one to help you win: Have the coloring and characters match the plot of the song. Green is a song told from the singer (meant to be the figure in the background of the lineart) to his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend (the two figures in the front). Except it isn't angry and remorseful, it's a very sweet song about acknowledging the singer's mistakes and wishing the very best for their ex. Here's the music video for Green if my explanation didn't make too much sense to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjr4wfnVmpE Anyways, what I'm trying to say is to have your entry match the song. For example, if you were doing warrior cats, a good example for the song would be to color Cloudtail and Brightheart in the front, and have ghost-Swiftpaw in the background. A bad example for the song would be to color Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight in the front, and leave Ashfur in the back, because Ashfur certainly did NOT want the best for his ex qwq --Prizes-- (the best part in this entire project hah) 1st - 20 loves, A shaded fullbody, and a choice between an animated icon (two frames), a lineless chibi, or a complex as heck design 2nd - 10 loves, A shaded bust, and a choice between a still icon, a chibi, or a design 3rd - 5 loves, a shaded headshot, and a design HMs -Choice between a chibi or normal-style sketch And (if not already) the kiddos that win something also get a follow from me uwu -credits- --- for the lineart and cc cavetown for the song Green --- So that's about it! I encourage you to join this CC, I really want it to be a success. I'll probably close this once there's fifty or so entries or in late november. (and if this could get top remixed that'd be epic as heck hah)
Line art by @charlies-hoodie Green by Cavetown Art by me, done on scratch! This took quite a while! Trying out lineless art...tell me how you think I did! The characters are (left to right) Friction, she's remained unnamed for a while, and Scalius. Some of you may be familiar with Friction and Scalius if you knew me on my old account. Before Friction's mate became his mate, she first was with Scalius. They were happy, but then she met friction. Friction loved her more, and Scalius knew that. So he let her go to make his best friend happy.
