This game is broken and I don't plan on fixing it. I'm sorry. |--------------STRATEGY: RECALLED TO DUTY-----------| A meteor has hit the core of your new planet. (Don't know what's going on? Play Strategy: Another Disaster!) The meteor has caused the core to scatter across 8 different biomes. You must venture through these 8 biomes and retrieve the core pieces to restore your planet's security. |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| Current bugs fixed: Steadied "scroll" engine Separated biome number from level so that it doesn't look like "11" "12" "13" or "14" and instead puts a hyphen inbetween Fixed the portal to enter the level (supposed to disappear when entering level, didn't) Made it harder to die when scrolling to the right or left (player tends to go through the ground when doing so) Fixed game so that you can only press space on the biome page (bugs out boss battles) Fixed Biome 1's boss battle to where the mini characters that shoot towards the player disappear after gliding towards the player Fixed the tendencies of getting stuck after beating boss 1 and shooting the level numbers out of bounds into insane results Added a level check script so that if the level number is greater than 4, it will increase the biome number by 1 and switch the biome page to that number (does not apply to Biome 8, that is the end of the game and reaching "9-1" is not possible). Fixed some bossfight bugs/level bugs Some levels are no longer harder to beat due to the slow scroll engine Made 2-1 less rage inducing Stopped the lavatouches variable from skyrocketing (I accidentally put script in wrong sprite) Made the level complete box for boss battles bigger (sometimes it can disappear on 3-4 when touched for some reason) Fixed biome 6 + completed it Fixed final boss bug that the portal to end the game would not show after beating the boss (not really a bug) loaded in rest of achievements (not all were loaded already) Made 7-3 easier Made 7-3 even easier Fixed ending bug where the final boss portal to finish the game displayed in the ending cutscene. Normalized audio - some audio will no longer be louder than others (NORMALIZED BY EAR) FINALLY fixed a bug where you could jump to the next biome's background by hitting the right edge of the screen (the code was still in the character sprite, whoops) Edited the backgrounds so the elements from each Biome (like grass for Biome 1) are no longer solid (except for the rocks and snowmen from Biome 3) TESTING NYANKATPRO'S SCROLLING ENGINE Nyankatpro's scrolling engine didn't work TESTING SPACE_CRAFT'S SCROLLING ENGINE Space_Craft's scrolling engine worked, however the player keeps jumping to the bottom center of the screen. Their scrolling engine will not be used. Other: added "Burnt To A Crisp... Again" achievement - touch lava 200 times made the "biome" and "level" speech bubble only appear in debug mode (it was probably really annoying, right?)
Be aware that sometimes during boss battles, at the ending (not 8) there is a possibility that you will get softlocked and forced to reset. I don't know what causes this, you'll just have to reset the game. Sorry. Nintendo owns a lot of the music used in this project, but for the stuff that's just really bare MIDI, it was composed by 12 year old me. Crazy to think that I'm turning 16 soon.
