Hey, Scratch followers! I'm really sorry about this, but I haven't been viewing your projects a whole lot lately. This is because my 6-year-old laptop is in bad shape, and we don't have a family desktop in our home. My laptop crashes/shuts down when I try to view flash of ANY kind, Scratch is so demanding that it would shut it down quickly, I don't even wanna TRY. Thus, I am actually using Scratch 1.4 (which is non-flash) to create this project to make up for my lack of activity. I'm getting a brand-new computer for Christmas: a Toshiba Satellite laptop with custom configurations. For now, though, I'll need to resort to other forms of entertainment.
So let's talk about my life. I started Scratch'ing when I was in 5th grade, and now I'm a Sophomore in high school! This school year has been pretty good, and some pretty girls in my class seem to be falling for me! One of them is my crush, one of them is my friend, and the other one has been cold and whatever recently. The first one is the one I love the most, she's beautiful and sweet. I'm gonna ask her out soon! Hope she says "yes!" apart from girls, my friendships have gotten better, and my teachers love me. I am blessed. On the home front, things aren't doing so well. My mom and brother are very annoying herpderp, but when I get to my dad's on the weekend, it's good. When I'm alone, though, I perform best. My relationship with my dad is improving, and it's great to see that! I do well in school, but right now I'm having some difficulty in Geometry and AP History. We just got report cards for first quarter, and I got all A's or A-'s except AP History, which was a B-. My parents are proud of me. So yeah, back to my computer. At the beginning of the year, I told myself that I needed a new computer for Christmas. My current one can't run games very well except for either low-end freeware, flash games, and NES and SNES emulation. I installed a program called "Razer Game Booster" on my computer in order to play Cave Story and Super Mario Bros. X. I fell in love with Cave Story, best game on my computer. However, I noticed a problem with GB: it wouldn't boost my in-browser flash content at all. Hmm. So eventually I played Phoenotopia on Newgrounds, and since Game Booster wouldn't work with it, I did without. The game ran real slow, but I beat it anyway. (I eventually played it on another computer and found it to be much faster.) However, I think that after playing that, a downward slope began. I found myself unable to run flash, Bejeweled Twist (highest my computer can probably go), and certain websites very well, without my laptop shutting off. It's not because of heat, I know because the bottom is actually not that hot sometimes. I think that what happened is that Razer Game Booster ruined my hardware somehow. THEN, as if that wasn't enough, two weeks ago, I brought my laptop to the mall because I did a homework assignment there and typed up some observations. It worked fine, but when I got home and turned it back on to print it, the screen would not turn on, though the computer itself seemed to be on and functional. So I tried turning on and off several times, but even then, the screen had no picture. So I connected it to our TV via a VGA cable, and toggled the video mode, and lo and behold, I got a picture. So I asked my computer teacher if he had an old monitor I could borrow, and he found one. It's a big old Philips CRT monitor that pings inside when I turn it on. Not super-fancy HD or anything, but it still gets the job done for when I need to type up papers that I have to do to pass high school. So obviously, PyroCrackups and Grape and Madness are on hiatus for the time being, and I will probably be sharing more music-related projects in the near future. Stay tuned, little brothers and sisters! SCRATCH ON!
