the thompson smg was one of the most iconic guns that the americans used in ww2 along with the m1 grand, the tommy gun had superior firepower to other smgs, it had a high rate of fire , and was excellent at hip fire, not only was it used by americans in ww2 but it was also used by allied british commandos. the thompson smg was by far the perfect weapon of ww2. though it had some downsides like its massive amount of recoil and low accuracy at far range. but it did outclass its predecessor; the mp 40 by a small margin...
