This has a couple of nice visual explosion effects that animate 31 costume changes, so they are smooth. The images have transparent backgrounds (alpha channels), so they can be used on top of anything.
I created the explosion effects with Apple Motion. From there it was just importing the images to costumes and timing out the playback.
