BLooD aND GoRe WaRNiNG One day, a very peaceful day but more specificly the most peacefulest day of a very peaceful year made of peacefull months made of peaceful weeks made of very peaceful days on an importantly peaceful morning a young cat named steeve sat in a dark hallway. Steeve was a black tabby cat with even darker stripes. He had no eyes though because they were torn out of his head in a fight before the peaceful year began. He sniffed around trying to find his food dish. He detected a scent trail and followed it. Delicious food was in his food bowl and he scoffed it down in hunger. He began sniffing around again and realized there was a hint of blood. He heard cars in the distance and could hear humans yelling about something. He walked into a random room, the scent of blood making his mouth water. He could hear a human scream and then a loud bang. Pain shot through steeve and he felt blood pour from his chest. He then felt something cold and sharp pierce his neck fur and then even more blood gushed from the wound. Feeling dizzy steeve collapsed and everything fell silent. a long time seemed to have passed and steeve opened his eye-sockets realizing he could see. He raised a paw and felt for his eyes but they weren’t there. He then realized he was standing on something soft and dark, matted with blood. He then realized he was dead and a ghost. Feeling dizzy and scared from the shock, steeve shot outside and ran as far as his legs could take him. He kept on running until he crashed into a tree. He looked up, that wasn’t a tree. It was a human. He had blood smeared on his clothes and stared straight at steeve almost as if he could see him. “You only just died didn’t you,” the human murmured. “How can I understand you? And how can you see me? What is going on?” “It’s okay. I can see ghosts and communicate with animals. Do you want to join us?” “What do you mean ‘us’?” At that a moment anouther human about the same age appeared out of nowhere, and Steeve realized he too was a ghost. “I mean the small group that’s forming here in the forest. Come and see…” the human turned around and began to walk off. “Wait! Who are you?” “I’m ghost. How about you?” Steeve thought for a moment and decided that steeve was not his name any more. “I am… Shadowspirit.”
