Backstory: when my father was 9 years old, his sister, who he had a strong bond with, killed herself. That was back in 1985, and he is now 43. I wrote this poem for him, and even though I never got the chance to meet my Aunt Cathy, I still mourn for her every day. If anyone reading this suffers from depression, I hope that this helps you get through it. Remember, no matter how crappy you may feel, one day everything will get better. If you're thinking about hurting or killing yourself, don't. All it does is hurt your family and friends. Please, talk to a trusted adult and get help. You can get through this.
