Ouroboros, the eater of gods that ascended from the ashes of a fallen world. Legends told a life was born from the ashes of those who had fallen, ashes from a catastrophic event that wasted through a whole universe, wasting the stars and skies into murky darkness. This life rose from the ash with flesh like moonlight, and reached its hands towards the hallowed stars, pointing; challenging Infinity for her crown. And so the life ascended, swallowing everything in its path, the Devourer was released… tearing through space itself to redeem itself from its ashen cocoon, life was a mere larva, but its wings would sprout, and that awakening is a time where all deities… even Infinity herself would be challenged by this being. And they quivered as space was turned into a weapon against them. The being that brought death to his own kind to ascend, a being who swallowed its tail to godhood; this is the birth of Ouroboros, the Devourer of Gods. Upon an ashen land, lay a figure in the desert, ragged hands clutching the remains of blade, wistful blue eyes staring out into the abyss around. No wind stirred, no life breathed. There was no air, no oxygen. No heat; no cold. The boy was the only living soul left in this desolate place, a boy holding a sword like the heart wrenched out of him, tattered remains of what seem to be wings lay across his worn naked body like the wedding garbs of dead bride. But this lost forgotten soul was an immortal now, having slain the eldritch as a last resort for the life of this timeline, the hedge was drawn into him, and his power was an unfilled hole, infinite… insatiable. After whispering his last goodbyes, he stuck the blade in the deserted planet’s flesh, like a gravestone for those who had shed their souls into him, and his wings shredded off, like fine tendrils of moonlight escaping his back, slithering up towards the star. And the god pointed, upwards to the void. “This loss of life shall not be abandoned.” As space itself ripped open, and the naked boy walked through, and seemed to become space itself. It seemed so sudden, for Infinity to witness Ignis to be killed by what seemed to be an outsider. A fully armoured… human wielding nothing but his hands and wings that shimmered like space, face unknown by a helmet, and nothing but silence left its lips. It tore the god of fire limb by limb by distorting space and imploding the matter around it, until it was nothing left but a mutilated soul, as it's form twisted into something truly massive and its jaw unhinged, swallowing the heart of the fallen flame, and in a maelstrom of white scales falling from the creature into starlight, the human stood again, floating with the stars as a mottle of his scales shimmered about like moonlight, as he simply walked through another tear he created to find his next meal.
