Coding by @CupcakeCatAnimates Art and OCs by me, @MistCat. Starring Flint. Flint has always wanted independence, and it's something he's worked for since a young age. Having both brittle bones, and paralyzation of his lower body, he felt like that dream was very far away. Especially with his over-protective and doting father. Flint loves watching skating, racing, and all sorts of sports and often lives vicariously by watching people at the skate park. That's where he met MD, at least that's what Flint calls him. Mark Dai was a young college student studying to be a nurse and often hung out at the park, enjoying these sports to help blow off steam. They two hit it off, and Flint was quick to idolize Mark. When Flint realized Mark was looking for work, he quickly got his father, Fletcher, to hire mark as Flint's personal assistant, as the last one retired. Flint would almost regret this. The last personal assistant was quite protective and strict per his father's orders, while Mark was all for Flint being as independent as possible. Now he feels very unnerved about the idea of being independent, it's scary now that the possibility is so close, but he learns to thrive over the years. Mark, while responsible, doesn't even try to talk Flint out of his more daring ideas. Motorcycle rides? Amusement parks? Roller coasters and wheelchair racing? Probably not in his best interests, but he genuinely wants to help Flint grow, and Flint is grateful for that. The two become best buds. Just in time for Mark to help Flint through what was arguably Flint's darkest times. His father Fletcher, the chief of police, was arrested. It turns out he had been taking bribes from local gangs to keep up their lavish lifestyle and pay the hospital bills for his son. Although Flint had always wanted to strike out on his own, be independent, it terrified him. He had always been so far away from that goal that the idea never worried him. Now it was so close and so scary. But he found himself ready. Eventually, with a lot of hard work and dedication, he gets himself a good job that he likes, a nice little apartment, and no employs Mark, who is very busy with college. They're still good friends. It's been a long anxious road for him. But in the end, he feels proud. Even though at the time he was very lost and sad, although he didn't realize it. Early on when Flint was still living with his father, Fletcher wouldn't let Flint get a dog in fear it'd hurt him. So Mark a dog for "himself" and just so happened to bring it with him to see Flint all the time, and let Flint name it, and take care of it and yeah he basically helped Flint get a dog. Flint is forever grateful for that. If anyone has any questions about either character let me know because I love them and want to talk about them. Also, can I just say that part with the hands is my favorite? It was so hard to pull off I just need to give myself a pat on the back real quick.
