For my Self Compassion studio, we collaborate and come up with tips to improve our overall self compassion skills. Here's our current list: - Everyday, tell yourself one good thing about yourself ( @moonlark- ) - The next time you get a quiz or test back, congratulate yourself for the problems you got right, rather than automatically turning to the problems you got wrong ( @moonlark- ) -The next time you are feeling sad, treat yourself. Don't tell yourself you don't deserve it. ( @Bellevue91 ) - Messed up on something? Remember, the world is messy. Being messy is perfectly fine. Make a messy art piece. I'd buy it for ten dollars. <3 ( @Bellevue91 ) - Voting for yourself in a contest is OK. Feeling sorry for yourself is OK. Never think that you don't deserve it. Know that you are not being selfish. It's OK. ( @Bellevue91 ) - Be friends with yourself. Embrace yourself and your personality. It can help. ( @Bellevue91 ) - Instead of saying I'm suffering from this or struggling with that, try saying I'm battling this. I tell it myself whenever I can and it makes me feel stronger. ( @Original-Girl ) - Don't be sad or stressed about the things in your past. Instead, be positive so you can be happy about your future. ( @14150728rpic ) - Make a "comfort box" filled with things that make you happy on a bad day ( @xXBrambleSwirlsXx ) - Stressed about homework or doing something you don't really like? Take a break from it. If you like art, draw for a couple of minutes then get back to your homework. Like running? Jog around your house or outside for ten minutes. Then get back to your homework, feeling fresh! ( ) - Give yourself permission to be imperfect ( ) - No one is perfect. Always be yourself. ( ) - Never be afraid to congratulate yourself, be proud of yourself, or reward yourself. ( ) -When you're feeling down, read because you'll realize that other people's problems might be bigger than yours. Reading will help you forget about your problems and you will be able to escape to another world. Writing will also help you let your feelings out. ( ) -Go through old cards from family or friends and smile at the compliments in them. You can't turn them away-they are written down, forever and always true. ( ) -Take a spa day! It can relax you. Enjoy a warm bath, wrap up in a fluffy bathrobe, and make scrubs! ( )
