This is Trontrair, a teenage boy who has had training in his dreams from a mage. This mage lived in a Japanese town centuries ago, the town was owned by a samurai. When an odd orb enters this humble domain the samurai gave his life to protect his village. Sadly the samurai’s attempt failed but his conscience eventually made its way into the boy’s mind thanks to a mysterious force bringing the tiniest atoms of the soul stone into the boy.
