An ecumenopolis with 5127 layers of colossal skyscrapers stacked on top of each other, and a population of trillions. The lowest levels have long been considered uninhabitable. Strange, radiation-mutated creatures prowl the lightless depths, eating ancient refuse millennia old. Not far above that, an extensive criminal underworld can be reached. It is barely policed by special police units whose bodies are covered and identities are hidden for safety. Many things happen beneath Coruscant's sky that should not happen. But as you travel upwards, things get progressively less dark and shadowy; hardworking, poor and working class immigrants are immediately above that. Their levels still contain seedy dealings, but to a much lesser extent. Instead, their levels are clogged with smoke and industrial byproducts from the factories they work in. Many, if not most, in this area go their entire lives without ever seeing the sun. Improvement continues as you head towards the top level. Level 5127 is immaculate, not a speck of dust to be seen. Glitzy and cradled in money, the top level houses the Senate buildings, as well as other government edifices. Galaxy-spanning corporations often place headquarters here as well. The inhabitants of this realm are the rich of the rich. The policies for the entire galaxy are debated and laws are passed here. Coruscant is so influential its hyperspace coordinates are 0,0,0. The center of the grid. Coruscant is as multifaceted as its people, with as many stories as those who call it home. However, one thing needs to be said. Coruscant has lovely sunsets. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
