So if you don't already know, the Game Awards was held last night. Before the event, though, Geoff Keighley, the creator of the Game Awards, did a fan Q and A. During this, someone asked if there was going to be any Sonic related stuff announced; more specifically for the 30th anniversary. Keighley answered that Sonic would make an appearance at the Game Awards and they might do something fun with the new movie that's coming out next year. This obviously excited a lot of fans. But when the Game Awards actually premiered, Sonic was no where to be found. The most we got was Green Hill Zone appearing in the background of the Green Day performance, and one of the guests briefly joking about James Marsden's character in the Sonic movie. So needless to say, I was pretty cheesed that we were practically click-baited into watching the Game Awards so that we can see one of our favorite video game characters making an appearance, but it never happened. Don't get me wrong, though, I liked the award show fine. It had some great announcements, Green Day was great, and it even had a Muppets and Untitled Goose Game crossover. I never knew I needed that, nor did I ever think I would say such a thing. So yeah, the Game Awards wasn't terrible. It was just very disappointing and maybe a little over-hyped.
