Although any traces of human life have vanished, some creatures have survived- but anything alive is scarce, let alone anything healthy. Over a generation of animals adapting to their new menacing environment, not only have are they now capable of complex emotions and reasoning, but a select few have received “powers” or abilities, that can help or hinder them, as some aren’t the most helpful.
