CREDITS: "Otter Pop" by Shawn Wasabi ft. Hollis Background gif found on Google (I believe it comes up if you search water gif, though I could be wrong) --- Well, first off, sorry for the less-than-astounding quality of the thumbnail. Scratch has decided to rebel against both my tablet pen /and/ my ability to type in the editor, so I'm not able to add words to my projects now unless I draw them by hand or add them in another program before uploading. Second off, thank you so much to everyone who entered (and stars above there were more of you than I expected)! It means so much to me that you'd all take the time to create something for me, regardless of whether or not you keep it in the end, just having so many entries was mindblowing. I'm deeply sorry that the results for this took so long, but everybody should probably expect that from me by now (sadly). (Speaking of results... Sorry about the rest of them. The 400+ contests are most likely going to be cancelled, and the DTAs are just taking forever as usual. I swear I'm trying to get them done but it is incredibly stressful trying to decide who gets what and what repercussions any of it might have.) --- Anyway. Onto the results. That's the reason I'm making this project, after all. Again, a huge thank you to everyone who entered, whether or not your entry was chosen and whether or not you keep it. The contestants whose entries I liked best (and would love to keep as characters if you're okay with it) are, in no particular order other than this is how they were listed in my Google Doc and that was in chronological order if I'm not mistaken: - @Minty_Flakes - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/304729416/ - @WesternGates - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/304785393/ - @WorthyGames_Test/@TheHeadmaster - - - - (who decided to keep their entry before results were announced, but I still think it's an amazing design and felt they needed to be recognized here) - - - - (who blew my expectations out of the water with multiple entries, in particular the ones that caught my eye most were , , , , and ) - - - - - - and - Please keep in mind that if your entry wasn't picked, it doesn't mean it was bad or I didn't like it. These are the ones that I connected to most or could immediately think of a way I'd use them; all of the entries had something unique and interesting about them but some of them didn't really click with me in particular. Also, just because your entry was picked doesn't mean that you now /have/ to let me have the character. If your entry is on this list and you want to keep your character (or have already decided to) then that's perfectly fine! I'm also 100% up to co-own the designs from this if the designer would like. Whatever your choice, just let me know so I don't get confused. Even if you keep the character, it still counts as a chosen entry, which brings me to the next thing... Prizes...? In all honesty, I don't have a set idea of what sort of prizes I want to have for this contest. It's been hectic lately, what can I say? But if you've won, and want a reward for it, please feel free to ask! Once-in-a-lifetime chance to get a free request from hold-onto-anything, the guy who doesn't do requests. Just don't make it something outrageous, please ;; And, finally, I use a character storage site called Toyhouse to keep track of my characters. Any characters I keep or co-own from this will be uploaded there, so please let me know what you'd like the design to be credited to (your Scratch account or some other platform if you'd prefer that) and any design restrictions you may have (i.e. if I ever lose connection to the character, should I give them back to you or am I allowed to gift/trade them to someone else). If you've got any questions then feel free to ask; I know this was a bit of a long-winded results thing and that's because it's currently past 10:30 at night, like it usually is whenever I make results projects. I'm starting to notice a trend here...
