Possibly the best coloring job I've ever done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The drawing I chose to color looks exactly like my oc, Kirii, so I decided to color the drawing to look like her. i spent a crap ton of time on this holy nuggets i could have been watching anime but instead i was bored so :/ i'm so proud of my baby uuuuuuuuuuwuuuu i'm surprised i didn't give up halfway through Process: First, I colored the two biggest hearts, for a warm-up. Second, I colored the face skin. I used the "Fill" tool to get most of it done, then filled in the white spots manually. I colored the eyebrows as well. I started on the bangs, finished, then colored the premarked darker shading spots. Then, I filled in the background with a bright yellow and filled in all the little white dots and sharpened the edge lineart. I made the background white again and started on the hair. I got halfway finished and decided to color the eyes and arms, so I got to work on that. By the way, if you're coloring uploaded bitmap art, color over any really light spots next to the lineart. This sharpens the quality and makes the art look less patchy. I colored the eyes, not using a gradient with the "Fill" tool, but rows of color getting lighter and lighter. I colored the eyelashes red and added shine, then drew lines of various shades of red for blush. I shaded the arms (Thanks, artist, for the predrawn shading areas!), then filled the sleeves and cuffs in with white and dark red. Then, I filled in the smallest heart. I drew over all the light lines I wanted to keep, then worked on the hair some more. This was the longest part, and took me three days. After the hair was finally done, I darkened a few lines and added darker parts to create shade. (I know I did a terrible job on this part, but I'm no good at shading and highlights, so please don't come @ me.) I started on the lineart for the signature Japanese schoolgirl bow, I colored it in, then I shaded it. I made minor adjustments to the background, then I made a set of round Harry Potter glasses with the "Circle" tool. I set the circle to "Outlined," set the pixel size to one, chose black, held Shift, and created a perfect circle. I positioned this circle over one eye, then tried duplicating it over the other eye, but it was buggy, so I made another circle, trying to get the size and position as even as possible. I created the bridge between the lenses, and filled the background in pink. I then outlined hearts with lighter pink and filled them in. I added three white triangles on the side. I used my best handwriting to write my name and my oc's name, Kirii, and I think they turned out okay, because my handwriting is usually horrible. :P Done! ♥
