Here's some fun bonus stuff on how I do ARs (and this one in specifically): - I pester the person with questions about the character. - I then focus the drawing on an element(s) that was given to me. (I chose to focus on Christmas and butterflies[sort of]) - Figure out what the main purpose of the drawing is/ what emotion/theme do I want to convey (for this one I wanted it to express a longing to keep being child-like/carefree) - Draw possible poses, then pick one to actually use. - then start listening to music that resembles the character or theme (For this I listened to: Never Wanna Grow Up by Katrina Stone, Somewhere Only We Know by Lily Allen, and Just Beyond the Stars (reprise) by Amy Lennox.) - Then jump into drawing!! Fun Details (DISCLAIMER: this is just how I interpreted the character when drawing, and may not be accurate to the actual character): - I purposefully dulled Ack's pelt, to show that society/life is dull and is starting to effect him despite his effort to keep being positive at all times - Added a bit of physical muscle to show that he is strong mentally (Since you can't hear what's going on a drawing of a character's head) - The glowing orb thing is suppose to represent wonder, curiousity, basicaly childhood. Society is trying to take it away from him, but he is trying to cling to it. - Random: I purposfully made the scarf green to accent his eyes, and also to match the red orb so it is Christmas colors!! - Over all such an awesome character! <3 Feel free to ask any questions about anything
