(I'm leaving scratch, so I'm uploading all of my unshared/unfinished projects, this is one of them) Interlaced is the i after the pixel count, the other kind would be p progressive (ex: 1080i 720p). Progressive means each frame created by the device is delivered all at once, while interlaced means its delivered in a stripe form extremely fast, taking up less resources, and increasing performance. If you squint your eyes a lot, you could confuse it for just a man with purple and green flashing background.
