Strategy: Straight away jump on the boss x5-6, then avoid shot #1, jump over shot #2, and that should through off shot #3, so you can jump onto the boss while it does its next move. When it jumps into the air diagonally, you have time a jump at the right time (just before it goes south-west) on top of it, then jump on it until the shots rain down, then go through the first gap you can and jump on the boss 'till it's dead.
