~Chapter 18~ I can’t sleep. I keep thinking back to earlier today, when Ridge and I bumped into Lena. Ah, Lena, the coolest girl… in that village. But then there’s Eliza. I… I don’t know. She’s… “Hey, you okay, man?” Ridge interrupted my train of thought. “Y-yeah I’m fine. I was just thinking about... uh, Lena.” “Ah, yeah,” he turned to lie on his back and stare up at the roof of the tent, “me too.” Of course, Ridge was too, she’s so cool… Granted she did ask for my bow and arrows in exchange for the horses and gold though. But, Eliza, she seemed kind of… off. Maybe she got tripped and got hurt or something? I don’t know, maybe I should go see if she’s okay. If she’s still awake, that is. I creeped out of the tent as to not wake Ridge, though he’s probably not even asleep yet. I look up at the night sky, no stars are visible since the clouds are in the way. “Shh, it’s okay, Amora.” I hear whispering coming from Eliza’s tent and, after "deep" consideration, I peek through to see if they’re okay. “You’re safe, you have all of your-“ Eliza made eye contact with me, “your friends, to keep you safe.” It seems like Amora is sobbing into Eliza’s blanket, I hope she’s okay. After a few more minutes of her comforting Amora, Eliza ushered me to outside her tent as she walked toward the entrance. “She woke up from a bad dream, about Edwin dying or something.” She peeked back in to make sure Amora was sleeping, “So, why are you still awake?” “I, uh…” the clouds parted just enough for the moonlight to seep through and glimmer on Eliza’s gorgeous face, “wow…” I whisper under my breath. “What?” Eliza asked, looking kind of frustrated with me. I clear my throat quietly, “I- I couldn’t sleep because I kept thinking about… my bow? Yeah, I forgot to tell you that Lena took my bow as payment for the gold she gave us.” “Oh… Lena.” Her face became solemn. She looked down at a rock next to my foot, “How did you guys meet, um, her?” I thought I had already told her, but I guess she wasn’t listening? “Well, uh, Ridge and I went ahead of you guys, but you knew that already. Um, yeah, so I went to get some medial treatment stuff, since Edwin still isn’t feeling good. That’s where Ridge and I met… her. She was there getting her leg fixed up before she went to go help her dad sell some stuff. They’re traveling merchants, I think.” For some odd reason, it looked like Eliza wasn’t listening… again. There was a kind of awkward silence for a minute, before I lightly grab her hand and ask “Are you okay?”. I feel her jump a little at my words. “Y- yeah, I’m fine.” She takes her hand out of mine and folds her arms. “Oh, okay.” I glance back at my tent and see Ridge peeping out of the flap, just staring at Eliza and I. “I, um, think I woke up Ridge. I guess I should try to get some sleep. G’night, Eli- Oh.” She had already gone back inside. I mumble to myself a little before going back inside my tent with Ridge. I can tell Ridge was about to say something before I interrupt him, “Just… don’t.” “Hey, do you need some help packing up? Cory refused my help, so…” I ask Amora and Eliza, who had woken up a bit ago and realized potions were scattered around their beds, somehow. Eliza turns around to see me, “Um- yeah, sure. Thank you, Thomas.” I kneel down next to her and start picking up tiny bottles filled with magic stuff. She slowly stands up, “Thanks. And… I’m sorry about last night,” I look up at her, while handing her the last potion thingy. “I just” she fumbles with the potion, “Oh sh-“ She dropped one of her blue-ish bottles on my head as I’m about to get up. I feel some icky liquid ooze onto a part of my hair? Ew. “AH! I’m so sorry, Thomas!” Eliza says as she picks up the bottle as quick as she can. “It’s fine, I’m fine!” I say as I stand up, fiddling with the strip of my hair that was the victim of the accident. “As long as it wasn’t some kind of death potion. Otherwise I’m doomed.” Amora grabs the bottle from Eliza’s hand and looks at the label on the bottom. “Nah, it looks like it was an energy potion. Looks pretty cool on your hair though!” Eliza chuckles as she picks up her hand-mirror and shows it to me. “Yeah, I guess it does?” I run my fingers through my hair while looking at my reflection, “I kind of hope it washes out sometime though, because Edwin is gonna get a hoot out of this.” = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = dang thomas got a major face lift also i know that last paragraph is kind of stupid but I basically just wanted Thomas to look different then someone i know irl, because I realized he looked wayyy too similar lol Thomas: me () Eliza: Amora: Ridge: Raven: Renn: Cory: Edwin: previous chapter: art- who do you think "good old fashioned lover boy" -Queen (i think this song fits him a little more than an overused undertale song pfft)
