The title of this project has two meanings. The first is that all LGBTQ+ people have faced homophobia before, and therefore we are alike in that way. The second is that we, as LGBTQ+ people, are just like people who aren't in our community. We are all the same, and we should be treated like it. Like most of my projects, use the arrow or AD keys, press the spacebar, or tap the screen to read each slide. I created this project because I have seen so, so many hurtful comments shared around Scratch that disregard the identity and existence of LGBTQ+ people. While this project is not meant to refute those "opinions," it does clearly explain that homophobia is wrong and dangerous. There is literally no excuse for believing that someone's identity is wrong, and when you say that you "disagree with people being gay," it's like saying that you "disagree with people for being black." It does not matter what your religion or political beliefs are, you have no right to "disagree" with who people are. My aunt died on Thursday (please no sympathy, it's okay) and we're all just really stressed. We're putting on our play this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so I'll be getting home around 7' every day. Sorry if I've been less active, I'm trying my best to be online. Anyway, I hope this project means something. I worked my hardest on it. #lgbtq #pride #psa #lgbt #slides #art #lgbtq+psa (Thanks to @DarthPinappl3 for tag help!)
