Raised in a family of 8 other brothers and sisters, he was the runt of the group, not involved in intense physical activity because of his small stature, unlike his other brothers. He was then assigned to work at the archives. The work at the archives was not like the arduous physical work but required an immense amount of mental capacity. Only those who are mentally capable could survive it. The 'Autem Feles piscem' was a society that relied heavily on scriptures and works that were supposedly made by higher beings. They had many tablets printed on about many different great figures from across time. Aquex spent his days dusting and shelving the tablets, day in, day out. He found an old book, little of it comprehensible due to its sad condition. From the few verses he could read, he found that there was a key that was present in the city that stopped a great catastrophe from happening. One day, Aquex's teacher, Ranari, found out that Aquex had an innate ability to foretell the future. He foretold that the great cataclysm would soon come. Both the teacher and Aquex went to warn the leader but they would not listen. They were then banished to the unknown lands. No-one had ever left the city, they were the first to do so from millions of others. Aquex assumed that his fortune was false and that he made a stupid mistake. They travelled for days until they found an oasis of sorts. Upon closer inspection of the island, they found a society of diverse animals, all living together. Aquex remained there for years until he finally decided to see how things were doing back home. When he finally arrived, he found the city in ruin. His home was gone. Everything was gone. He ventured to the archives, the walls crumbling, only a general structure remained. As he went inside, he found one book that was not destroyed, in fact, it was in perfect condition. Aquex had never seen this book, so he picked it up and started to read. It was the story of the key and the catastrophe and what was to happen. Aquex continued to scour the book, his mind flooded with guilt and sadness. With the flick of a page, he found a small compartment, with a golden orb. Looking at the annotations, it said that this orb would glow when it found the key. Aquex frowned, knowing that he had to find whatever the key was and make the person who took it pay. He picked up the orb and made his way out of the building when he looked down, he noticed the orb glowing. He was the key.
