Hi, this is a school project (which is the only reason I'm actually completing it, unlike every other project I work on)! If you're not my English teacher, this might be really confusing, so I'll be uploading another project just like this one in the next few days, except I'll explain what's going on. Well, maybe you already understand because you're in my class or know this play. Anyway, if you are my teacher, please read the Notes and Credits below for an analysis.

This is an animation based of the following scene: Torvald [wagging his finger at her]: Hasn't Miss Sweet Tooth been breaking rules in town today? Nora: No; what makes you think that? Torvald: Hasn't she paid a visit to the confectioner's? Nora: No, I assure you, Torvald-- Torvald: Not been nibbling sweets? Nora: No, certainly not. Torvald: Not even taken a bite at a macaroon or two? Nora: No, Torvald, I assure you really-- Torvald: There, there, of course I was only joking. Nora [going to the table on the right]: I should not think of going against your wishes. The animation is also based on a children's song called Johnny Johnny Yes Papa that is used in terribly animated YouTube videos like the one I linked you to in my submission (I cannot include links on this platform; it is against the rules). These videos have amassed hundreds of millions of views from toddlers aimlessly watching videos on their parents' tablets and have caused growing concerns from parents because of their poor quality. For these reasons, they have also become quite a popular meme. In the beginning of Henry Ibsen's A Doll's House, Nora Helmer still thinks of herself as a child, because that is how her husband treats her and that is how she was raised by her sexist father. She loves to spend Torvald's money and just wants to have fun playing house, decorating and dressing up her children. Because I found Nora acted so much like a child during the first act of the play, I have cast her as "Johnny" in this animation.
