hey. if you've been on my profile in the last year, you'll notice that I haven't really been active. why? because of lots of reasons. 1) I'm busy. I have school, homework, sports, and other stuff going on that just eats up a lot of my time. I don't really have a lot of time for scratch. 2) Friends. Almost all of the friends I've had on scratch have left. It was really sad when all the people I've known and grown to love thru scratch have left/been inactive. 3) Community. I feel like the general scratch community has changed. People feel more comfortable saying things that normally wouldn't fly on the old scratch. To me, scratch now seems to be more of an activism website than a place to share coding and art and projects. Also many of the people that I looked up to and were popular during my time have left/gone inactive. I feel like the prime time of scratch is over and a new era is starting. 4) 3.0. When scratch 3.0 came out, I despised it. Sure, it looked better, but it was so hard to draw and do vector art and the coding blocks had all changed. Plus there were a lot of bugs. I couldn't use the vector editor to make art anymore; I just couldn't figure it out. This majorly discouraged me from continuing on scratch. ... but I'm back. I am strongly considering being active on scratch again. I realized that not all of my friends have left, there are still a few on here <3. I began to think about rejoining scratch when I kept coming back to this site this year and reliving old nostalgic memories. however, I won't bite off more than I can chew. I probably will make less projects, join less studios, not do at lot of art trades, not enter a lot of contests and not be on scratch 24/7. I'm trying to have better balance this year and work on developing my talents. I'll also be relearning how to do art again in 3.0 (I was never good at coding so lol). you can probably expect an about me project to be shared in a few weeks. - illy p.s. I unshared all my projects except for the raffle and dtt that I will be judging soon! (sry I haven't done it yet, I made it a legit year ago I'm so sorry!) edit: I will not be judging the raffle & DTT because pretty much everyone who entered it left scratch... so yeah... there's that... edit: uM yeah I'm going on hiatus soon... but on a good note I have friends now and stuff!!! yeah so this project is kinda outdated... I might unshare it soon [1/20/2021] edit: I'm not super active but I'm still on this site so you can disregard most things in this project.
