The 2005 iPod Silhouette commercial. I chose this in particular because solid colors are easy to compress. You have to wait for it to decompress the video - once the % reaches 100% for it to start. This took many hours to make, mainly because of file size limits. How I did it: 1) Used Youtube Downloader to download video 2) Used ConverterLite to convert from MP4 to AVI 3) Used VirtualDub to export each frame as an image 4) I can't believe I skipped this step! 5) Wrote my own custom program to analyze the images, compress them, and save it to a text file 6) Designed the Scratch side of things; imported text file to list 7) Carefully adjusted timing to audio 8) Done! I'll release instructions on how to make your own soon.
Video to List Engine ---> ShadowCoder List Playback ---> ShadowCoder Commercial ---> http://youtu.be/NlHUz99l-eo Video to Images ---> http://www.virtualdub.org/ This took a long time! **Should** run at 15-16 FPS if you have a good computer
