--------------------------------Instructions-------------------------------- Just press the green flag! -------------------------------------FAQ------------------------------------- What is Pi Day? Pi Day is a day to celebrate (I guess) the number pi, or approximately 3.141592654. It occurs yearly on March 14th, or 3/14 in the American date format. What is pi? Pi is a number used to calculate many things in math, such as the circumference (like perimeter) and area of circles! It's approximately 3.141592654, but it has an infinite number of decimal places (and it isn't even repeating!) Why should I care? 1) It's an excuse to eat pie. (Don't cannibalize me, though, please and thanks. :p) 2) If you're a nerd (like me) and you've been memorizing it since Ultimate Pi Day in fifth grade, you probably care just because it's cool. What's Ultimate Pi Day? Ultimate Pi Day was on March 14th, 2015, or 3/14/15 in the American date format! Since 3.1415 is the first five digits of pi and that lined up with the date, it was known as Ultimate Pi Day. It actually got even more ultimate, with 3/14/15 at 9:26 (am or pm) being the ultimate pi time. (The first eight digits of pi are 3.1415926.) I was in fifth grade during Ultimate Pi Day, and that's when I started memorizing pi! How much of pi do you know? I know the first 85 digits of pi! I'm not terribly dedicated, but every once in awhile, I'll memorize a few more digits in a week or so just for the heck of it. I want to get to 100 by pi day this year! --------------------------------Project Stuff-------------------------------- This project is basically a copy of my Christmas Countdown project but with a couple of numbers changed. I also added a leap year detector so that it works whenever (hypothetically).
