Kapokpaw has a bit of a backstory, would you like to hear it? TOO BAD! I'm doing it regardless. ~ KIT ~ Kapokkit woke up in the dark nursery once again. Cold. Maplestar was always so busy with leading the clan, that Kapokkit didn't really have time to spend with his mother, and his sister was from an earlier litter, so she had become an apprentice a few moons before he would. Kopakkit missed playing with Lotuspaw, he missed when she was Lotuskit too. With no other kits currently in the nursery, and Maplestar sleeping in her own den instead of with him, Kapokkit was lonely. He trotted out of the nursery, fluffy tail sticking up in the air, as he puffed out his chest while the clan stared at him. Maybe being the son of Clawclan's leader wasn't so bad after all. Kapokkit raced across the clearing to the warriors den, "Someone pway wit' me?" he called, respectively sitting outside of the entrance as he called in. "Not right now, Kapokkit." several of the warriors answered, as Kapok kit pouted. "Being a kit is NO fun!" he complained, "Why can't I be six moons already?" four moons seemed close enough, Maplestar should just make him an apprentice now........ This gave Kapokkit an idea. "MAMA! MAMA!" He called, running into the leaders den. "What is it honey?" Maplestar asked him, "Mama, am I old enough to be apprentice?" Kapokkit asked, wide eyed. "No." his mother said. "YOU JUST RUINED MY LIFE, MAMA!" Kapokkit said, obviously NOT overreacting.............wait............... ~Apprentice~ After waiting those long two moons, Kapokpaw was finally made an apprentice! But not even a moon into his training, his mother made an announcement for the clan. Maplestar stood up and yowled, "Everyone cat who can catch their own prey gather underneath the Sliced Rock for a Clan Meeting!" Kapokpaw watched many cats sit around the sliced rock, was one of the new kits being apprenticed? None of them were old enough, could his mother be making him a warrior? No, that couldn't be it. Kapokpaw was still only about 6 moons old, and had just become an apprentice last week. What could this meeting be about? "There is a problem that I have hidden from the Clan, and I think it is time I reveal what it is." Maplestar said after everyone was settled, "There are a murderer in our midst. Several rouges and Lacepaw have been found dead on our territory. The scent around the bodies before we found them is ClawClan." Kapokpaw could hear the clan gasping, and murmuring behind him, Maplestar waited for silence, and continued. "I just wanted to let you know, so every Clanmate can be on guard. Clan dismissed." She lept from the rock. 'No one will ever be safe.' Kapokpaw though, 'We're all going to die.'
