PEBBLE SPECK: (Pebble, Speck, Pebs) Pebble Speck is, to put it nicely, a terrible ruler. They're paranoid, jumpy and can't raise their voice over a whisper at public events. Pebble is shy, reserved and generally very quiet, and unfortunately very sensitive. It's very easy to make them cry and they get upset and stressed very easily, where they will tend to just curl into a ball and cry quietly. They're considered rather pathetic by the city of 13, and for a good reason. Physically Pebble is weak as well, being puny in size and clearly undernourished growing up due to the curse on City 13. In fact, that is exactly what caused them to never be able to develop proper horns, instead ending up with little nubs that serve no purpose. This would make them a Kaneseen. *Pebble identifies as agender (they/them) and is a born male. MAGIC: Colour Modification This magic effects Pebble Speck's main pelt colour. It is mainly emotional and their pelt colour will fluctuate greatly when they experience sudden, intense emotions or temperatures. It's generally darker when they're feeling low, and lighter when they're happier but it fluctuates a lot. This does not effect their speckles. THE CURSE: The curse, known as "The 13th Curse" (despite being the first curse the city has encountered) is a curse that was put on the land of City 13 generations ago when a bad-tempered Piper, Frozen Spirit, purposely broke a rock shrine to the god of Winter in a rage. The god, angered by the disrespect, cursed the once beautiful mountains with endless Winter, turning it into a dangerous terrain. Now, Frozen Spirit was a gurvi with specific power: luck. He could alter his own luck, the luck of those around him and keep those who came to him in temporary good luck, when he was in a good mood. He spoke back to the god, cursing them and arguing back. The god, angered by his behaviour and impotence, laid the curse of bad luck, made to be the polar opposite of Frozen Spirit's luck powers upon the city. Nowadays, the curse has taken full grip of the guvri of 13. They're a paranoid bunch, small in number and lucky to live to 300. An old guvri in this city is applauded, rather than ridiculed. Flying is forbidden as it is said to pose too much of a danger to the guvri, although with Pebble as Piper it's hardly strict as they're likely to trip up on their words and run away rather than punish a guvri for flying.
