Boy, am I smart. -2022 -------------------------------------- -I'll follow the first person to get the joke XD USE YER HEADPHONES Listen to Fauci, not Trump. The CDC is recommending cloth face coverings your mom can make a bajillion dollars sewing them and selling 'em Below are the questions that I have been asked about the coronavirus. Questions in the comments will be taken into consideration. NOTE: I'm not an official health advisor. You should probably know that. I just wanted you to know that things may differ from official sources. BUT some of this is based on things I have learned from the CDC.
Some people (a lot, of course) are overly worried about the coronavirus. There is nothing wrong with that, but some people are afraid of myths. -Will this kill everyone on Earth? Not likely, as there are 7.7b people and there is ongoing research for a cure or vaccine. World leaders are doing (most) what they can, but if no one did anything, this outbreak would most likely wipe out a significant portion of the world. -What should I do about this? Since the symptoms are 'mild', if you have a fever or a cold, stay indoors and test for the virus. Other people should avoid crowds and unnecessary travel. Then there's the obvious: wash your hands and keep good hygiene. -Can my pet have the strain? There has been no evidence of animals contracting the disease, but you should be careful. -Should pregnant women be worried? There is limited information currently, but don't stress too much. There has been no evidence that the virus will reach the fetus before the immune system weakens it so much that it does significantly less damage. -Should I see a doctor? Only if your symptoms are significant and you have tested positive, you will get treatment. So far, this treatment is experimental, so only if your sickness is life-threatening will they treat you. DO NOT rely heavily on the tests. They are only about 85-90% accurate and only see the doctor if you can tell without a test that you have the virus. You know there is such thing as false positives and false negatives. -Should I trust the internet? The short answer is no. All the hype on the media is fake and as you know people are stocking up as if Germany is going to rain bombs down on the U.S. for three years. (No offense, Germany, not talking WWIII. I live in America, but it's a simile I've heard) Only trust backed news sources and the CDC and WHO websites. (CDC= Center for Disease Control WHO= World Health Organization) -See your physician instead of your doctor if you have questions. They both know a lot, but physicians might know more. I'm NOT saying, don't go to the doctor. -What are the chances I'm asymptomatic? This means you have the virus but no symptoms have risen to your knowledge. There are more accurate tests and they are now opening to people who are not sick and generally everyone. -Get your groceries every 2 weeks or more -You don't need to buy a 12-year supply of sanitizer -Wear masks in public. -Stay calm, but not too calm. If you're healthy, you're less likely to get the virus or die from it. -The virus'll peak around the end of April at the earliest. You probably won't have school for the rest of the year.
