CLICK to select options and progress through the game. (you can keep playing after you win if you want) You want to be the greatest scientist history has ever known. But, your peers don't believe in you- they said it will only happen when pigs fly! So, together with Porkchop, (your loyal lab assistant, test-subject, pet, and best friend) you set out to make that happen! During test-flights, you earn grant-money for every foot of altitude per second, and for every two feet of horizontal distance per second. You can use this money to fund research for upgrades to Porkchop, including genetic and mechanical modifications. Your goal is to create the highest-tech possible upgrades to make Porkchop the best flying pig ever, and prove to the world that you really are the greatest scientist in all of history! Click the menu options to buy upgrades, select equips, go back to the lab-home, or start a Test-flight. Hit the "C" key to clear your equipped items. Test flights will end automatically when you hit the ground. You can also hit the "back" option to take your earnings and end a flight early. Pale options are not yet unlocked. More options will be unlocked as you make more advancements. Stamina is how tired Porkchop is. He will stop generating lift and speed organically when he runs out. Fuel is what causes the engines and wings to work. Different engines burn different amount of fuel per second, and when you run out, mechanical wings will no longer produce lift. Glide is the ratio of how many feet you go forward for every foot you drop, after Porkchop has run out of fuel and/or stamina. Speed is how many feet per second Porkchop moves forward when he is flying (not gliding). Some upgrades are better than others at different traits. Try different combinations to see how well different components work together!
Many thanks to StevenTheSquare for the original project. I kept most of the original game the same, and only improved the graphics of it. (At least, I think it's an improvement.) The biggest thing I did was to add in the background that moves with the pig, as the original had no way to tell the pig was in motion except for the numbers. Besides that, I changed just about every sprite in the game, though I mostly tried to keep to the original spirit. Go check out the original, too! I recently stumbled upon this game while browsing for fun games I could play here, and I thought of doing a moving background for it. After that, I decided I didn't like the look of one of the gliders, and I guess things just... took off from there. Just like Porkchop did. (ha, ha.) StevenTheSquare, if you're seeing this, feel free to claim this new-and-improved version as your own, if you want to. I don't mind, as long as you mention me somewhere. Everyone else, do not lay claim to this project.
