Use the space bar to go to the stage select, and use the down arrow to scroll through the selection. Click on the stage you want to play. During the cutscene, it plays automatically. Use the up arrow to jump during the stage. Update: The crystals contain ultimate power. When you collect them, they build up your boost gauge. When it is full, You will automatically boost, making you invincible for a short amount of time. Plus, green hill zone (The first area) is the only area where you can easily do this, since that zone is the longest. You can do it in other zones too, but it will be more difficult, since you have less time to do it.
