**CURATED April 26th by @qood :'> Educational (i think) ANCIENT EGYPT! :-) On the bottom left of the screen is a home button, if you click it, it will bring you back to the menu where you can choose a different ~exhibit~, as I like to call them. :> exhibit 1 - THE PHARAOHS; In the Pharaoh exhibit, you'll find a collection of 10 differing pharaohs- these are not listed in a particular, I simply gathered the 10 most famous and powerful rulers in a random list. :) What's a pharaoh? Glad you asked. A pharaoh was a ruler, much like a typical governor or president. exhibit 2 - FUN FACTS!; (NEW EXHIBIT!) In this brand new exhibit, you will find a varying amount of fun facts about Ancient Egypt and its people's traditions. In this exhibit, one of the fun facts includes the name of a popular board game from Ancient Egypt, Senet. The instructions for this game are not clear as they are hundreds of years old, but the gist is throwing a stick across a board with 30 squares, some squares had pictures and hieroglyphs on them. exhibit 3 - (MAJOR) GODS; In THIS exhibit, you'll find the major gods that the ancient Egyptians worshipped. As there are many minor gods (and im lazy) I didn't include those. You will, however, find the 8 major/influential gods- including facts about them .p. What's the difference between a major and minor god? Well, major gods, ultimately, were more powerful and important than minor gods. They greatly shaped everyday Egyptian life and were explanations for many of the natural occurrences on earth. For example, the sky Goddess, Nut *giggle*, was the living embodiment of, well, the skies. CONFUSING VOCABULARY--------------------------------- (I will add more per request) coregent; when a position in which only one person holds is occupied by two (position meaning presidency, king/queen, etc.) Dynasty; a line of related/hereditary rulers in a country (like a royal family where they're all related, basically) unprecedented; never done/know before Sed Festival; an ancient ceremony to celebrate the continued role of a pharaoh pinnacle; peak (to reach a highest point)
